The Stickleback Fish Company have moved into their fourth home! Stickleback was formed in 2007, we served our first customer from the back of the family fishmonger shops in North London before moving into the first depot in Potters Bar. By 2013 Stickleback were establishing themselves as an up and coming wholesale fresh and frozen seafood supplier working with some of the biggest restaurants and hotels in the Home Counties, so we needed a depot to match our ambition. In September 2023 we moved into our fourth home, a 30,000 square foot depot just across the road to our third depot. Moving just across the road allowed us to minimise the disruption to our customers, suppliers and colleagues and increase our capacity 3-fold. The move was a real team effort but was driven from the front by Rachel Burbidge our Compliance and Estates Manager.

We have built the new factory from the ground up with the goal of creating a dynamic working environment we can be proud of. Of course, it has to be fit for purpose, so the 500 pallet frozen storage facility, the chilled picking and packing area and the purpose built fish preparation area takes care of all of that.

We celebrated the opening by throwing a little party at the depot. Lots of colleagues, suppliers and customers joined us to share a drink and some food. Even the children got to spend some time with the lobsters!!
