Le Lien Limited
Chris Driver, Managing Director:

At Stickleback Fish, we work closely with our suppliers to guarantee products of the highest quality from sustainable sources. Our success is grounded in forming long-term partnerships to provide reliable and sustainable supply for ourselves and our customers.

Le Lien Ltd was founded in 1992 with the principal objective of becoming the UK’s number one sourcing importer to the UK & Europe. Now exporting from their worldwide farming and fishing partners in excess of 150 tonnes of fresh fish and sea-foods per week into their European market place. They jointly own, in partnership with the Sri Lankan government, a state of the art Tuna processing plant in Sri Lanka from where we procure our Tuna supply. Stickleback Fish have traded with Le Lien Ltd since 2013. In that time, we have forged a lasting relationship built on trust and co-ordinated business strategies to a level which places Stickleback as one of our largest and most respected customers.

Mariner Foods Trading Ltd
Matt Cheeseman, Managing Director:

Atlantic Fresh Ltd have been a major importer of whole fish sourced direct from accredited vessels in Iceland and a key whole catch supplier to the fish auctions in the Humber for over 10 years. Their subsidiary company, Mariner Foods, was set up in October 2014 with a view to targeting key players in the industry with whom they could form a working partnership to help establish and ultimately grow the business. The management structure has over 20 years’ experience and understand the intricacies and attention to detail required to service these higher echelon customers.

The Stickleback Fish Co is one of Mariner’s top clients and all care and attention is paid to every order that goes through the system where we are concerned. As with Le Lien, the management of both companies have identified each other as key future players in the industry and have forged a unique and binding vertical supply relationship which is to the mutual benefit of both, and especially so to the Stickleback customers. By processing key products when landed, in time for same-day dispatch, we take one day out of the supply lead time ultimately adding a day’s shelf life to the products you receive. Mariner and Atlantic Fresh work to SALSA standard and have full MSC accreditation in line with the Stickleback operation.

Our Buyer & Quality Assurance Manager deals with selected day boat operators & well chosen market buyers to acquire species from both inshore & deep sea catches landing at the Quaysides from the waters around the UK.

We also carefully select individual suppliers to source the very best seafood from UK waters.

Our Welsh Mussels, Poole clams, Brixham Crabs, Native Norfolk live Lobsters, West Mersea Oysters, Dressed Cromer Crabs and Scottish Langoustines are all great examples of the sustainable shellfish we can offer from these well chosen sources.

This collection of Worldwide, UK & local procurement partners enables good availability of our wide range of species in the freshest possible way to your premises.
